Instructions
Step 1
First, determine the amount of paper you will need to wrap your gift. Place the prepared box face down on the paper. Use a tape measure to measure the circumference of the box across. Add another 2-3 cm for the hem. The rectangle of brown paper is exactly the length you need to cover all the sides of the box. Determine how much paper is needed to cover its sides. Measure the height of the sides and divide the resulting value by two. Therefore, the width of a rectangular sheet of wrapping paper is equal to the sum of the length of the box and its height.
Step 2
Lay out the cut rectangle of wrapping paper face down. Place the gift box in the center. Wrap the left and then the right edges of the paper tightly around the box and secure with tape. Try to place the seam of the packing sheet on the bottom side of the box.
Step 3
Adjust the box so that the edges of the paper protruding from the sides are the same. Place strips of double-sided tape on the sides of the box and press down firmly on the sides of the paper while gluing them. Gently fold the top and then bottom edges of the wrapping paper, pressing them against the end of the box. Repeat all steps for the second side.
Step 4
Decorate the wrapped box with decorative ribbon in a matching color. To do this, glue a piece of double-sided tape at the centers of each side of the box. Pull the tape vertically under the box, and cross it in the center of the front, making sure it adheres to the tape. Wrap the tape around the width of the box, also sticking to the pieces of tape. Tie the ends of the ribbon in the center of the wrapped box.
Step 5
Attach a nice packing bow if desired.
Step 6
Try to decorate the box not with a ribbon, but in another original way. To do this, cut a strip 3-5 cm wide from another paper that matches the color of the main package. Wrap the entire length of the box and carefully tape the ends together. Then decorate the strip with contrasting thin ribbons or cords.
