Such a tree will become part of the New Year's holiday, and then it can be transplanted to your yard or back to your nursery. But it is important to choose the right living spruce so that later it can take root in nature.

Step 1
You need to choose a place for subsequent landing in advance. Many trees naturally grow up to 18 meters and have a very wide crown. Therefore, landing should be carried out at a fairly large distance from the house. In addition, it is important to know when to replant the tree. In some regions, Christmas is a great time to plant a Christmas tree. In other regions, you need to decide where the spruce will stand all winter.
Step 2
Select the type of wood based on the climatic conditions in your area. Some ate do not like dryness, and some may die from the cold. Also ask how much weight the Christmas tree will have. A tree with roots and soil can weigh about 90 kg. Therefore, to transport it, you will need several people and special transport.
Step 3
Call nearby nurseries and find out the price of the plant. It is important to find out if the organization can provide the fir tree without cutting it down, and what additional items will be required from you. It is advisable to book a tree in advance by going to the nursery and inspecting it.

If the seller says that the tree is in stock in the store, then you definitely need to check if it is healthy. Run your hand gently over the branch. Only a few needles can fall off. Check the feet of the tree, the color of the needles should not be yellow or brown. If you gently bend the branch, then it will smoothly unfold, but not crack. The presence of kidneys is considered a sign of a healthy Christmas tree.
Step 5
The soil in which the spruce is located should be soft, crumbly and moist. If you feel dryness with your fingers, then obviously the tree was not watered well. In this case, it is better to find another nursery.
Step 6
If the tree is packed in a bag, be sure to check its roots. The stronger and longer they are, the more likely the tree is to survive after transplanting into natural conditions.
Step 7
If you find a nursery or farm where a Christmas tree is dug right in front of you, then follow the process. If you are going to dig the tree yourself, then start digging at a distance of 15 cm from the edge of the longest branches. The depth of the trench should be about 30 cm. The closer you get to the tree, the more carefully you need to dig. Try to trim the roots as much as possible and trim the roots with a saw or hacksaw if necessary.

Carefully separate the soil from the roots and wrap them in a tarp, secured well with twine. The Christmas tree is now ready for transport.
