It is necessary

  • - an equal number of plain A4 sheets and sheets with a holographic coating (19 stars are obtained from one plain sheet of paper and one colored sheet);
  • - ruler, pencil;
  • - scissors;
  • - a thin needle and thread.

Instructions

Step 1

I recommend that you practice using two strips of plain paper first. At first, it is easier to make an asterisk from it than from coated paper.

To get started, prepare all the necessary items: sheets of paper and colored paper, a ruler, pencil and scissors. We place each sheet of paper horizontally towards us and mark it into vertical stripes 1.5 cm wide.

Step 2

Cut out the stripes. Each A4 sheet usually leaves one strip about 1 cm wide, it will not be useful to us. We fold strips of plain paper and of colored paper separately from each other. Holographic paper is usually rolled into a tube. We do not pay attention to this, it will not affect the further work in any way.

Step 3

Take a strip of plain paper. We make a loop out of it, as shown in the photo. The angle at the base of the hinge should be approximately 90 degrees.

Step 4

Push the short end of the strip into the loop and form an even and flat pentagon.

Step 5

We turn over to the other side. Pull the short end of the strip into the pentagon. If it turns out to be too long, cut as much as necessary.

Step 6

Next, we wrap the long end of the strip around the pentagon, carefully pressing the paper after each turn. After all the turns, you should get an even and dense pentagon with equal sides. Push the end of the strip inward, as in step 5.

Step 7

We continue to wrap the pentagon with colored paper. To do this, push the end of the colored strip into the pentagon on the same side where the previous one was just tucked in. We wrap it, push the end of the strip inside.

Step 8

You should get such a pentagon.

Step 9

Form a star from the resulting dense pentagon. To do this, squeeze each corner with your fingers on both sides. At first, each star will be obtained slowly, but the skill comes very quickly. In 1-2 evenings, you can make enough stars for a full-fledged garland. For it, you will need about 12-14 sheets of paper (6-7 plain and 6-7 colored).

Step 10

We collect a garland from the resulting stars. To do this, thread a needle through the needle without cutting it off from the spool, because it is quite difficult to calculate the length of the future garland. We pierce each star as shown in the photo.

Step 11

We fasten the ends of the thread with knots. A wonderful garland is ready to decorate the tree!
