The most interesting and finished form is the postcard made using the applique technique. Moreover, this process differs from the child's kind of creativity, familiar to everyone from an early age, only in that anything can be glued to the cardboard, including buttons and mechanisms from watches.
Necessary

Instructions
Step 1
Choose the size and shape of your future postcard. It can be oval, rectangular, round, square, or triangular. Think about how the card will open and where the greeting text should be located. Cut out the base from the cardboard on which the applique will be placed, fold it as the postcard will look like when finished.
Step 2
Sketch the picture for the postcard. This will help you choose the color scheme and size of the parts in advance.
Step 3
Select the materials you want to use to create your postcard. In addition to standard colored paper, you can use magazine clippings, fabric, faux fur, braid, soutache, beads, or beads. Try not to use a lot of heavy components, otherwise the card will bend or deform due to the force of gravity.
Step 4
Color the inside of the card with the front. You can use stencils to apply color within borders, shade the background with crayons, or glue small details to the edges.
Step 5
Start with the main background and the largest details in the background. First, make sure that the glue does not corrode the surface of the elements to be glued, as sometimes happens with Moment glue. It is best to use pencil glue or PVA for creating postcards, but the latter can make the surface of the part "wavy", especially for magazine pages.
Step 6
Decorate the applique with small details such as braid, bugles or rhinestones. To weave real tape into the cardboard, punch holes in the cardboard with a hole punch.
Step 7
Create volume. You can use the quilling technique to make the picture come to life, or glue the details on cardboard handrail legs like panoramic books. You can also place origami figures on the front side.
