A holiday is a pleasant event, but very troublesome. Usually, on such a day, you want to surprise and please your guests with something unusual: to cook original and mouth-watering dishes, skillfully decorate them and set the table beautifully. The atmosphere and general mood of the festive feast often depend on how festively and solemnly the table is decorated.

Instructions

Step 1

Place fresh flowers on the table. They create a festive mood. Place them in low vases along the middle line of the table so that the flowers do not interfere with those sitting at the table to communicate. If space permits, place a tiny vase with a few small flowers on the left side of each fixture. Decorate your New Year's table with spruce, pine or juniper branches.

Step 2

Place decorative candles on the table. Match them to the color of the dishes or tablecloths with napkins. Candles look spectacular in tall candlesticks that can be decorated with silk ribbons.

Step 3

Consider color combinations when serving. If the dishes are variegated, choose a plain tablecloth and napkins. With a single-color table service, you can lay both a single-color tablecloth and with drawings.

Step 4

Please note that the tablecloth looks more elegant if its edges hang evenly from all sides by 20-25 cm, and the corners cover the legs of the table.

Step 5

An obligatory element of the festive table is napkins. Unfold them immediately after placing them on the cutlery table. Fold napkins in any way ("envelope", "cone", "triangle", "lily") and place on snack plates.

Step 6

Consider the design of the dishes themselves. All products should be in harmony and match in taste and color: dark red sauces are served with meat, and white ones - with fish.

Step 7

Serve salads not in the usual salad bowls, but in tartlets, or use halves of tomatoes as portioned "salad bowls". To do this, cut off the top and remove the pulp.

Step 8

You can decorate sandwiches or salad with an original butterfly. Cook a hard-boiled egg (half of which will be the "body" of a butterfly), slices of smoked sausage or figured cheese - "wings", dill sprigs - "antennae". Make "eyes" from black peppercorns, and decorate the "back" with specks or stripes of mustard and ketchup.

Step 9

Decorate vegetables with flowers. Cut boiled and fresh vegetables for cold snacks and salads with a curly knife, turning them into lilies, carnations, chamomile. Take a dense tomato and cut the skin with a spiral 1, 5 cm wide with a very sharp knife. Twist the spiral first tightly, then less tightly in the shape of a rosette.

Step 10

Decorate the salad with a bunch of grapes. To do this: on a salad, the top of which is greased with mayonnaise, lay out a bunch of canned peas, make the leaves from parsley.

Step 11

Feel free to experiment. And most importantly - remember that any mistake in the design of the festive table can be beaten and turned into a highlight.
