The summer months are not only a time for vacations, but also for outdoor recreation. This is usually accompanied by barbecuing or barbecuing. However, even for some people with experience, lighting a fire in a barbecue is difficult. In fact, there is nothing difficult in this matter. It is enough to remember just a few basic points.

It is necessary

  • - barbecue;
  • - hearth for fire;
  • - paper;
  • - liquid for ignition;
  • - gas-burner.

Instructions

Step 1

In all its variations, the brazier is a metal box. It is good if a special hearth for fire is also included with the barbecue - a small container with holes for ignition. This will make things easier for you. As a last resort, you can do without it altogether. You can also make it yourself from a large can, to which you need to remove the lid and bottom, and cut holes in the walls. Put the hearth in the barbecue, place paper at the bottom of the hearth, and put small pieces of special charcoal for the barbecue or small chips on top. Light the paper through the holes in the hearth. Ideally, the fire will ignite immediately. When the fire spreads from paper to coal, and it ignites, remove the hearth. Do this carefully, as the fire will heat the jar.

Step 2

If charcoal or wood chips do not ignite, you can use a lighter fluid. Buy it from the store in advance. Look carefully to exclude the presence of an open flame near you, so that the liquid does not catch fire and an explosion occurs. Spray the liquid gently over the coals. Typically, 500 grams of coal requires about 70 milliliters to ignite. Food can become unpleasant when used in more quantities. Then fold the charcoal into a small pyramid. Bring a lighted match to it. If you wish, you can use the hearth when firing up with liquid, but this is usually not required.

Step 3

If you light the barbecue in the wind, it can prevent the fire from igniting. Try using a portable spray gun. Keep it lit until the charcoal starts to burn. In this case, the wind will not instantly blow out the fire. Observe safety guidelines when using this method. It is also better to sprinkle the charcoal with liquid. This will speed up its combustion.
