Loaf is a mandatory attribute of a wedding. In the old days, this holiday began with the preparation of a loaf. And the more magnificent, larger and sweeter the baked goods turned out, the richer and happier the newlyweds were. The bride and groom always presented the guests with pieces of loaf, sharing their happiness with them. The wedding loaf was baked mainly from wheat flour. From above it was decorated with patterns made of dough and branches of viburnum, which was considered a symbol of love. And how can you bake a real wedding loaf today, observing all the traditions?

Instructions

Step 1

Take 4 kg of premium wheat flour, 2 liters of milk, preferably whole, 100 g of natural yeast, 6 eggs, 1 glass of vegetable oil, 2-4 tablespoons of sugar, 1 teaspoon of salt.

Step 2

Dissolve the yeast in warmed milk, add granulated sugar and a little flour there. Place the resulting dough in a warm place without drafts. When it starts to form bubbles, add the rest of the flour, salt and gently knead the dough. You need to knead until it lags behind the hands. Pour vegetable oil over the dough and put it back in a warm place.

Step 3

When the dough rises well, take it out and divide it into two parts in a 1: 2 ratio. Leave a small portion of the dough to decorate the loaf. Large - divide into three more equal parts. Roll each of them into a sufficiently long sausage from which you need to weave a braid.

Step 4

Grease a baking sheet liberally and place a braid of dough on top of it, curling it into a ring and joining the ends together. Then take the dough for decoration and turn on your imagination: dazzle flowers, ears, leaves and decorate the loaf with all this picturesquely. Leave your creation to stand for a while and come up.

Step 5

Coat the loaf with squirrels and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Entrust a married man to put the finished wedding attribute in the oven or oven. Bake the loaf over medium heat. Remember that too much heat can cause the crust to harden. After about an hour, remove the loaf and let it stand under a clean linen towel. A loaf is served as soon as the guests sit at the wedding tables.
