A trip to the museum with the whole family, especially in a large city or abroad, can be a serious expense. But there is an opportunity to join the culture for free. To do this, you need to know when and which museums you can enter without paying money.

Step 1
If your family has three or more minor children, get a document certifying your status as a large family. This can be done through social protection authorities. With this paper, all members of your family will be able to visit practically all state museums in the country for free once a month. But keep in mind that a special day may be set for you on which you can take advantage of the benefit. Usually it falls on one of the Sundays of the month and is determined either by the museum itself or by the administrations of your city.
Step 2
Enjoy free admission to the museum if you are a full-time student. Many museums, for example, the Historical Museum in Moscow, give you the opportunity to see the main exposition every month without financial costs on your part.
Step 3
Check when the Museum Night will be held this year. Unlike most countries in the world, in Russia this museum business festival does not automatically grant the right to enter a cultural institution for free. However, some museums allow this practice. A few days before Museum Night, call the showroom you are interested in and see if they will let visitors in for free.
Step 4
Check the local museum rules before traveling abroad. For example, in France, on one Sunday of the month, you will be able to enter many museums for free, even if you are a foreigner and you are not entitled to any benefits. If you come to this country to study or work, and at the same time you are not yet 26 years old, you can visit the Palace of Versailles, the Musée d'Orsay and many other cultural institutions free of charge on any day for free.
