New Year in the army is interesting, extreme and very unusual. Despite the fact that there are a number of restrictions associated with the celebration, the soldiers still manage to celebrate it in an original and fun way. After all, they are preparing for the chiming clock with a fairly large team, which means that there is where to apply their talents and skills.

Step 1
First of all, conscripts are dropped off to hold a feast. As a rule, for these purposes they use their salary and money sent by their relatives. Naturally, cash only goes to groceries. Alcohol is prohibited for conscripts. Everyone who knows how to cook prepares the New Year's table. Of course, these are primarily those military personnel who work in the kitchen. The rest are just helping them.
Step 2
On December 31, the servicemen set the tables right in the barracks. Furniture is arranged depending on the number of people. Sometimes the length of the common table can extend to the entire barracks.
Step 3
Preparation for the holiday begins in advance. Since mid-December, soldiers have been drawing themed wall newspapers, making postcards, cutting and gluing Christmas tree decorations. Closer to the holiday, a Christmas tree appears in the barracks, which the conscripts themselves decorate.
Step 4
On New Year's Eve in the barracks, the TV must be turned on and tuned in to one of the federal channels, where you can see the congratulations of the President of the Russian Federation. At midnight, conscripts raise their glasses, but not with champagne, as is traditionally done by everyone, but with juice, lemonade or soda. Failure to comply with this rule is punishable by sanctions. After all, before the lights out, the officers must check the servicemen for the smell of alcohol.
Step 5
Santa Claus may well appear at the holiday. And in some cases even the Snow Maiden. Of course, with the indispensable distribution of gifts. To make the holiday more fun, a special New Year's program is being prepared. It can be contests, competitions, and intellectual games. Naturally, typical army entertainments become dominant in the entertainment program: whoever squeezes out more and faster, crawls across the barracks on bellies, keeps a burning match in his hand for longer, etc.
Step 6
For those who especially distinguished themselves during the year - they actively participated in the life of the unit, showed courage and ingenuity in exercises, etc., the command writes out dismissals as a New Year's gift. This means that some young soldiers can spend the New Year and the entire New Year holidays at home with their families.
Step 7
Those soldiers who are on duty or on guard on New Year's Eve celebrate the holiday the next day. The same rule applies to officers whose watch fell on a festive night.
