Step 1
Think over the sketch for the postcard. Fold the paper in half and sketch out a rough plan for the placement of the decorative elements. Don't forget to leave room for your congratulatory message - immediately determine its size and design (for example, pasted newspaper letters take up more space than handwritten text). On the back of the postcard, you can put a large composition, add symbolic elements on the back, and give the third part of the postcard for congratulations. The last side of the postcard is usually decorated with small details.
Step 2
Emboss your card. The opening of the postcard can be pasted over with textured paper - this will add elegance to your work and diversify the decor. You can use decorative paper or a piece of patterned wallpaper. You can leave the spread sheet white, but then pay attention to the corners of the postcard - glue satin bows, fir needles, miniature multi-colored feathers, etc. Appliques from black lace on a white canvas look exquisite, but do not get carried away by the abundance of elements.
Step 3
Add New Year symbols. The design of your card should correspond to the holiday - add snowflakes, stars, Christmas balls, Christmas tree, etc. Draw a small Christmas tree, glue the contours with a green woolen thread, and attach rhinestones, beads, sparkles as toys. Roll a snowman from pieces of cotton wool, cut a New Year's star from foil. Fix all elements with glue, applying it with a toothpick to the canvas of the postcard and pressing down the decorative element. Even if you are very far from needlework, then try to arrange a New Year's card in the form of a children's craft - an uneven Christmas tree made of colored paper, imperfectly round balls, simple elements. Think only about the combination of colors - the card should be bright and contain the main "New Year" colors (red, green, golden).
