Today social networks offer various options for electronic postcards, they can even be created online, and there is no need to talk about the number of traditional paper ones. But, despite this, the most special gift is always a handmade card.

Instructions
Step 1
Draw a rough example of the postcard you want to create. Focus on your own taste, colors that the birthday boy likes, what he dreams of. You can use miniature photographs, beautiful pictures, rhinestones, flowers made of paper or fabric, multi-colored beads to create a postcard.
Step 2
Determine the size of the future postcard and, having doubled it, cut out its base from cardboard. Before that, having decided what shape you want to create a postcard: in the form of a square, triangle, oval or rectangle. Then fold the resulting piece of cardboard in half.
Step 3
Now start creating the main background. It can be made from white or colored paper, satin, velvet, corduroy, foil. If you chose fabric, cover the base of the postcard with it and stitch with a typewriter. Glue the foil and paper. To create contrast, the outer part can be decorated with cloth or paper of one color, and the inner, where congratulations will be written, with another. For her, it is best to choose a less saturated color so that the words are clearly visible.
Step 4
Decorate the front with decorative lace, making a nice piping around the edges of the card. Sew it on or glue it on. At the bottom, you can leave the two ends free by tying them with a bow. Place in the center or diagonally the phrase "Happy Birthday!" rhinestones or beads. If the postcard is intended for a representative of the beautiful half of humanity, decorate its front part in the corners with small flowers or hearts, making them of velvet or velveteen.
Step 5
A satin ribbon or decorative cord that will tie the two sides of the postcard will look original on the front side. To open it, the birthday boy will have to untie him. Try sewing a buttonhole to the back of the card and a button to the front to fasten the card. Try, experiment, show your creative imagination, and you will succeed in the best way possible.

Having chosen the material and background color, decorate the inside of the card around the entire perimeter with a decorative cord. Pick it in the color that the birthday boy likes.
