In ancient Russian pagan rituals, there was always a "costumed" goat or a man in a goat mask. Yule bypasses using a goat mask are most common among Belarusians and Ukrainians, less often among Russians. In Ukraine, the mask of a goat was also used in wedding and funeral rites, or, as they were also called, "games with the deceased."
Instructions
Step 1
It is not difficult to make a goat mask: take paper of white, black or gray color, a beige blank, paper with corresponding spots (you can make them in advance).
Step 2
Divide the square in half diagonally (the colored side should be at the top). After folding, place the figure so that the fold is on the side (left or right). Right the upper end from the fold with a fold inward, just not completely, but slightly.
Step 3
Then straighten it and make a through cut on top of the inner line approximately to the middle of the fold.
Step 4
Next, tuck the sharp end inward along the line of the cut and lobe fold, both on one and the other side, so that a fold with a protruding horn forms across.
Step 5
Make a few small folds from the center fold to the edges to make it slightly curved.
Step 6
Tuck the tip of the nose inward, glue the eyes on both sides. Place the mask over your head from behind and secure the ends with a strip of paper. The simplest paper goat mask is ready.
