New Year is a time of fairy tales and miracles. It is also a kind family holiday, which is usually held together with family and friends. But what if you combine these two components and, together with the children, make beautiful New Year's paper crafts that can be used to decorate an apartment and a Christmas tree? For example, fabulous airy snowflakes. And the wonderful and simple technique "quilling" - "paper rolling" will help you with this.
It is necessary
Printer paper (it is thicker than regular colored paper and holds its shape better) white and blue, scissors or a stationery knife, pencil, glue and a toothpick
Instructions
Step 1
Cut the paper into even strips 5 to 10 mm wide. It is convenient to do this with a ruler and a utility knife. If you are making a snowflake with children, use safety scissors.
Step 2
Carefully cut a toothpick on one side, and then use a utility knife to make a gap in the middle of the toothpick.
Step 3
Attach one end of the paper strip to the slot of a toothpick and wrap the entire strip around it. You can roll the paper with your hands.
Step 4
Make the required number of twisted stripes for the snowflake: 18 white and 18 blue. Secure the ends of the strips by gluing them neatly to the circles.
Step 5
We start to form a snowflake. Take 6 white snowflake pieces; they need to be pinched with thumb and forefinger on one side to form a droplet. Collect them into a flower - glue them together.
Step 6
Take 6 elements of a different color; they need to be shaped like a diamond (eyes). To do this, pinch the circles on both sides. Glue the resulting diamonds between the white petals of the snowflake.
Step 7
Glue 6 blue circles to the white petals without shaping them.
Step 8
Shape the circles again into droplets and glue them to each diamond on both sides (they will fill the space between the diamonds and circles). You will need 12 "droplets" in total.
Step 9
Pinch the last 6 blue circles like diamonds, but make a slight bend-wave. Glue between the white "droplets".
