The exposition is a photo gallery of clay and plaster burial masks that were found in the graves of the Tashtyk archaeological culture, which was widespread in the 1st century BC. BC. - V century. Now such valuable exhibits are kept in several museums in Russia: in the State Hermitage, in the Museum of the East in Moscow, in the Khakass national museum of local lore named after V. I. L. R. Kyzlasov. The photographs presented at the exhibition were taken with the permission of the heads of the listed institutions.

The author of the photographs, Boris Dolinin, worked in the technique of a light brush. Thanks to the techniques used, the visitors of the exhibition have the opportunity, as if in a time machine, to travel back two thousand years and look into the face of the ancient inhabitants of Siberia and Russia. The surviving masks and plaster fragments were used to create the collection.

All those interested in history can attend the photo exhibition until July 2. The State Museum of the History of Religion in St. Petersburg is located at ul. Pochtamtskaya, 14.
