The backbone of the "Ural dumplings" gathered for the first time in a youth camp in 1993. From the scene for the evening of laughter, the future famous KVN team was born. Dmitry Sokolov is unofficially considered her parent. It was he who suggested to his friends: "Why not?" Today Dmitry appears in Pelmeny as a lyricist and actor, tries himself as an event organizer and producer of other humorous projects, and even became the face of the Pyaterochka chain of stores. Andrey manages to perform in other projects as an actor and presenter. Among the first participants in the "Ural dumplings" are also Sergei Netievsky (show director, actor and screenwriter) and Dmitry Brekotkin. It is curious that because of the team's performances, Dmitry first left the institute, and then work with good prospects at the construction site, which he does not regret at all. Over the years, he became a famous comedian and presenter, as well as an advertising person for Tricolor TV. In the same 1993, Sergei Isaev (he moved from another team) and Maxim Yaritsa joined the university team. Both have successfully traded their professions for careers as actors, authors and show hosts. The face of Sergei Ershov is less familiar to the audience of the Uralskiye Dumplings show, he usually plays secondary roles. But his characters are charismatic, and the talent of the screenwriter and editor is indispensable for the team.

Some members joined Dumplings later. The author of reprises and jokes Alexander Popov - in 1997. Sometimes he also appears on stage in cameo roles, as does the sound engineer Sergei Kalugin. Sergey has been in the national team since 1995. The performer of most of the songs that sound in the show, Vyacheslav Myasnikov, is from the younger generation of the team. He became a "dumpling" in early 2000, just before the national team won the title of champion of the Major League of KVN. Now the show of "Ural dumplings" is difficult to imagine without his funny and lyrical songs to the accompaniment of a guitar. Professional actress Yulia Mikhalkova-Matyukhina joined the team in 2010 on an ongoing basis, and before that she appeared on stage in some scenes.
