Ears for a children's costume often become an integral part of the image and the entire carnival evening. On the eve of the holidays, they are usually taken apart, so you should think about how to please your beloved child with ears of your own production. Let's look at two cases. In the first, we will make cat ears, and in the second, rabbit (hare) ears.

Step 1
For cat ears, we need thin and soft fur (a strip 20 cm long is enough), a hanger for a blouse with foam rubber, a hair band. If the headband is covered with fabric, it will be easier to sew the ears to it. Cut two triangles out of the fur, and two out of the shoulders, but in slightly smaller sizes. Fold the fur triangles together, with the fur inward (so that the seams are not visible). We sew these triangles to each other on both sides, then turn them out and insert a piece of foam rubber inside. Now you can sew the base and the protruding eyelet will be ready.
Step 2
We cut two triangles out of the fur, and two out of the hangers, but with a slightly smaller size. Fold the fur triangles together, with the fur inward (so that the seams are not visible). We sew these triangles to each other on both sides, then turn them out and insert a piece of foam rubber inside. Now you can sew the base and the protruding eyelet will be ready.
Step 3
And now we make the second eyelet from two fur triangles and a piece of foam rubber according to the sequence described above. Now we sew both ears to the rim.
Step 4
New Year's outfit for a rabbit can be supplemented with ears consisting of a white plastic hair hoop, white and pink cardboard, sequins on a string. White threads with a needle and universal glue will help us in assembling the ears.
Step 5
We draw two pairs of rabbit ears on white cardboard, cut them out. We draw the middle for the ears on the pink cardboard and also cut it out. We glue together the templates of the ears themselves and the middle. Just don’t glue the ears at their base.
Step 6
Next, we apply a thin strip of glue to the edges of the ears and glue the sequin on a thread. The next step is to bend the cardboard at the base of the ears, grease the inner side with glue and glue our ears to the hair hoop.
