Step 1
Everything you need can be purchased at any store specializing in the sale of fabrics and accessories. For the outer part of the ear, choose a strip of the finest and softest faux fur in black, gray or tan. The lining fabric from which the inner ear will be sewn can be white, pink, or gray. However, the flight of imagination is not limited by anything, ears of an unusual color will look very curious, especially in combination with an original costume.
Step 2
Before starting the creative process, you need to prepare a pattern. Cat ears are shaped like a triangle, so the template will look elementary. On a sheet of thick paper or cardboard, draw an isosceles triangle of the desired size - this is the sketch of the future ear.
Step 3
Once the pattern is secured to the fabric, trace around it with a simple pencil. You will need to make two fur pieces and two of the lining fabric for the inside of the ear. Then cut out the triangles, leaving about one centimeter of seam allowance.
Step 4
Fold the fur and fabric parts face to face, sew on the wrong side of the sides. Leave a small hole at the base, and turn the ears through it to the front side.
Step 5
Stuff the triangles with filler. If you don't have holofiber or padding polyester at hand, you can use ordinary cotton wool or even scraps of fabric. Sew the base to the end with a blind stitch.
Step 6
Sew the ears to the rim with strong, matching threads, trying to wrap them slightly with the corners inward, like the ears of a real cat.
