Step 1
Choose a suitable wedding date. There are canons of the Russian Orthodox Church, according to which not every day is suitable for this rite. You cannot get married on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, during fasting, Easter week, Christmastide. If you are not well versed in the church calendar, ask for help in any church shop or Temple.

Choose a temple. A wedding is a paid ceremony, and each temple determines its cost independently. In addition, each church has its own rules (the duration of the ceremony, the possibility or impossibility of filming, the location of guests, etc.) Check with the clergy for all the details.
Step 3
Choose a priest for the wedding. As a rule, one of the servants of the temple you have chosen becomes it. But sometimes the ceremony is allowed by the spiritual father of the newlyweds.
Step 4
Find wedding suits. They should be chaste and humble. The bride's dress is traditionally white.

Prepare your wedding set. You can buy it from the church shop or build it yourself. It includes handkerchiefs for the bride and groom, handkerchiefs for candles, a towel under the feet. You will also need wedding candles, wedding rings, icons of the Savior and the Virgin.
Step 6
Take care of the technical issues. Keeping crowns over the heads of the bride and groom is quite difficult. First, they are pretty heavy. Secondly, it is necessary to keep it for a long time. Therefore, under no circumstances place this duty on the witness. Crowns should be held by baptized men.
Step 7
Go through the preparatory ceremonies - confession and communion. A three-day fast is required before confession. To avoid any difficulties during the ceremony, consult with the priest first or read the relevant literature. On the eve of the wedding, give up sex.
