A festive table for young guests is very different from a treat for adults. It is difficult for children to survive the change of several dishes, and many products are not suitable for them. For a children's birthday, it is worth cooking not fatty and spicy foods, but light and healthy foods. One of the possible options for serving such food is a buffet.

Instructions

Step 1

Not every child loves to eat vegetables, so snacks need to be decorated beautifully and brightly. For example, put the salads in cheese baskets or transparent cups. As an option, organize a salad bar so that the participants of the holiday themselves pick up a little ready-made and chopped ingredients into small plates: potatoes, carrots, meat, eggs, tomatoes, cucumbers, etc. It is better to make sauces for dressing yourself based on oil and sour cream. For small sandwiches, it is good to use not the sausage from the store, but homemade turkey and chicken pate, forshmak. And few of the young guests will refuse delicious canapes made from vegetables, mushrooms, quail eggs and cheese.

Step 2

A hot dish for a children's party should also be portioned. It is convenient for both babies and the chef mom. The easiest option is mini-pizzas stuffed with vegetables, mushrooms and low-fat minced meat. You can make kebabs from chicken fillet. They are quickly cooked in a pan or baked in the oven. The most favorite side dish for most children is mashed potatoes. To diversify the table, it is tinted by mixing it with mashed potatoes from boiled carrots or spinach. It is even easier to boil colorful pasta in the form of bows, snails or spirals for a treat. But you don't need to cook a lot of side dishes. Children are unlikely to eat everything to the end, and if not enough, you can always quickly prepare additional servings of fresh vegetables on skewers.

Step 3

The traditional end of a festive birthday party is blowing out the candles on the cake. So that the children after that do not overeat with fat cream, the cake should be bought or prepared in a small size. And set the sweet table with the help of other dishes. These can be homemade chocolates made from melted chocolate, nuts, and dried fruit using ice cube trays. If desired, the process of their preparation can be easily made part of the entertainment program of the holiday. Another option for treats is multi-colored jelly with fruit juice and milk in portioned glasses or tins.

Step 4

Instead of tasty, but often harmful, ready-made juices and soda, you can offer compotes, lemonades and fruit drinks to the little guests of the celebration. So that they do not get upset because of the lack of the usual drinks, homemade drink should be served "in an adult way" - in beautiful decanters. Or pour it straight into bright paper cups. Children are treated to a variety of fruit smoothies and milkshakes in a transparent bowl. The main thing is not to overcool the drinks, otherwise children heated up by games risk getting sick.
