On the eve of various holidays, the question of a costume arises. You can solve it in the most ordinary way - go to the store and buy. But you must admit that a store-bought suit is not that interesting. It's much better to make the costume yourself! In addition, as we know, joint work unites and ennobles.

Let's say the issue with the costume is half resolved - they decided to make a fairy costume. We found a dress, shoes, made a hairdo … But something is missing … Wings!

  • Colored paper
  • Paints

Instructions

Step 1

So, let's start making the wings. At first glance, it may seem that this is a very complex and capacious process. However, I hasten to reassure you - this is absolutely not the case. Making wings for a costume is downright simple. In addition, there are several ways to make them. Let's go in order.

The easiest option (with this, I think everyone will agree) is to cut the wings out of paper. I went to the store, bought a Whatman paper and cut it out to my health. Then it only remains to paint them - and the wings are ready.

Step 2

There is a more complicated and more interesting option. We take a wire, it is advisable to take hard samples, as they will better keep their shape. We give the contours of the desired wings, connect the two halves with each other - and the frame is ready. Now you can choose one of several development options.

On the one hand, you can cover this wire frame with fabric, preferably light colors, but to match the tone of the costume as a whole. Then add some details and the wings are ready.

Step 3

And you can again complicate the process, which will make the wings look even more impressive. To do this, we take a lot of threads, the color of which matches the general color of the suit, coat the frame with glue, and wrap it with threads. This is the most difficult version of wing production, however, I can safely say that it will bring the most impressive result, as it will give the impression of transparency, lightness and weightlessness.
