The wedding is an unusual ceremony, it is preceded by the official celebration of the marriage between the bride and groom. When preparing for the wedding, the bride tries on many different dresses, trying to choose the most suitable one. The attire of the bride for a wedding ceremony is not much different from a civil wedding.
Instructions
Step 1
If you are going to get married immediately after the wedding, you can use the dress in which you plan to register your marriage at the registry office. This option is quite convenient for those who want to save money. In this case, choose a dress with closed shoulders and a shallow neckline. According to church rites, the bride must cover her shoulders, arms, and head.
Step 2
If you buy two dresses: for a wedding and for a wedding, then for a wedding choose a dress below the knee or very long, which is more preferable. The color of the dress should be light. White, cream, light pink, blue fabric colors will do. But not purple or dark green.
Step 3
The church does not make any special claims to the texture of the fabric, therefore, the material of the dress can be anything, only not transparent.
Step 4
Since women enter the church with their heads covered, the bride is not bypassed by these rules. During the wedding ceremony, the bride needs to cover her head with a veil, scarf, stole or wear a hat.
Step 5
If earlier brides were not allowed to get married in revealing outfits, today the church went to meet the newlyweds and allows brides to be in dresses with bare shoulders, open neckline. In this case, use a veil to cover your shoulders, chest, or thin scarves that complement the wedding dress and act as accessories.
Step 6
In a sleeveless dress, use gloves to hide bare hands. Purchase elbow-length gloves.
Step 7
You can buy a dress with a train, but do not think that this is a tribute to the traditions of the Orthodox Church. A bride in a dress with a train carried by small children looks quite solemn, although this tradition came to us from the Catholic countries of Europe.
