The National Expert Commission of Ukraine on the Protection of Public Morality (Natskommorali) may prohibit the broadcast of many cartoons, including the Russian TV series Masha and the Bear and Luntik, beloved by children. The church called many television projects "specifically aimed at destroying the family." Researchers believe that popular animation has a negative impact on a fragile child's psyche.

Back in 2009, the National Commissariat for Morality, the expert supervisory body of Ukraine, did not recommend popular animated series and entertainment programs for viewing on local television channels, including the famous "The Simpsons" and the Comedy club show program. In 2012, the "black list" of cartoons was significantly replenished - it included "Masha and the Bear", "Shrek", "SpongeBob", "Luntik", "Pokemon", "Teletubbies", "Family Guy" and many other names.

The moralists call the initiator of this decision the Ukrainian Orthodox Greek Catholic Church, whose efforts were organized by an extensive study of modern animation. A multi-page brochure has been published on the Internet, in which many cartoons are called "a real threat" to the younger generation.

Researchers consider popular animation to be specially organized projects for disastrous experiments on young viewers. According to the brochure, most of the modern animated series promotes various kinds of perversion, violence and bad habits.

So, according to representatives of the Ukrainian Catholic Church, SpongeBob belongs to sexual minorities - he and his friend Patrick constantly walk around in their underwear. The girl from the TV series "Masha and the Bear" is a classic example of a sadist torturing a victim - the Bear.

The brochure argues that Pokémon and Shrek also call for sadism; in addition, the green giant from the tale of William Steig is accused by the churchmen of disrespectful treatment of a woman. The Teletubbies, it turns out, shape the psychology of losers; various Disney creations (including "Mickey Mouse", "The Lion King", "Cinderella", "Madagascar", "Beauty and the Beast") received extremely unflattering definitions: "child pornography", "savoring evil", "gay parade ".

The authors of the analytical review of modern animation urge the Ukrainian public to appeal to the government so that the showing of "special cartoon projects" is strictly prohibited. The National Expert Commission on the Protection of Public Morality is going to discuss this possibility at a separate meeting. This was reported by the Ukrainian National News (UNN) news agency.
