Easter is one of the most wonderful and brightest holidays. It is celebrated by both religious people and non-believers. At the same time, both of them try to follow traditions and perform rituals that have come to us from our grandfathers and great-grandfathers. Despite the fact that the essence of the holiday is the same for all peoples, the customs are still slightly different.

Instructions

Step 1

In Bulgaria, like ours, they bake Easter bread and play cue ball until someone's egg breaks, and it is imperative to wish each other good luck. But, as in many southern countries, such as Italy, Albania, Greece, an indispensable dish is fried lamb or at least a ham and shish (shashlik).

Step 2

In Italy, Easter bread is called colomba, and it is a lemon-flavored Easter bread covered with almond glaze. Lamb, fresh vegetable salads and cheese and egg pie are prepared here. On Easter Sunday, thousands of Romans and visitors gather in Rome's main square to listen to the pope's congratulations. The next day, Italians meet with their relatives, friends, go to a picnic.

Step 3

In Poland, women and mazuriks are baked for Easter. Baba is a product made from very rich yeast dough with various fillings, for example, marzipan fvb or chocolatejv. Mazuriki - crumbly shortcrust pastry pies decorated with sugar mastic eggs, cream flowers and chocolate. All products are baked on Maundy Thursday, but you cannot work on Friday, otherwise drought and crop failure are threatening. On Easter days, people gather for festivities. Girls, in order to become beauties, wash themselves with water from a stream, which will also give health. If on this day a man spanks a girl with a twig, then she will become beautiful and lucky.

Step 4

In the Czech Republic, both men and women are preparing for Easter. While the latter are painting the eggs, the men are looking for rods for the whip. The lashes are decorated with multi-colored ribbons. On Monday, the men start caroling. They come to the houses where the girls live and lash them with these whips so that they are young and beautiful. In return, the girls give out colored eggs.

Step 5

In Germany, on Easter Sunday morning, the head of the family hides gifts. It is believed that the Easter bunny brings them. It is up to family members to find these gifts, although they can be hidden anywhere. After that, the whole family gathers at a festive table, where baked fish is usually served as the main dish. All kinds of cookies are served for dessert. After lunch, everyone goes to visit each other. There is a belief that everyone who comes to the house that day will be a reliable and faithful friend. Guests are treated to tea with chocolate chip cookies.
