On September 1 and 2, Moscow will host celebrations dedicated to the capital's birthday. Sokolniki Park will be transformed into an amazing City of Music. The largest Moscow open-air festival of musical art invites all lovers of classical music.
The opening ceremony of the event will take place at the main entrance to the park. The action will be stylized as similar ceremonies at international film festivals: guests will walk the red carpet.
The parterre part of the park will be occupied by numerous musical and theatrical groups, interactive presentations and exhibitions. At 4 pm, famous Moscow chamber orchestras, artists of the Bolshoi Theater, soloists of the Helikon-Opera will begin their performances on the main stage of the park. An important element of the holiday will be the performance of the famous pianist Alexander Gindin, who was awarded the title of Honored Artist of Russia.

Fans of Russian folk art will enjoy the costume ball "Birches". A separate program will be organized for children on the Central Stage, including a musical puppet show, a concert of young talents and an interactive program for a children's TV channel.
All those who are not left indifferent by the beauty of flowers, the organizers of the holiday invite to the exhibition of compositions "Flora and Music". Guests of the rosary will be greeted by violin music. The master class will be held by experienced florists who will share the secrets of the alphabet for designing bouquets. The collected compositions "pupils" will be able to take away for themselves.
A presentation of the historic grand piano, the main art object of the holiday, will take place on Fontannaya Square. Everyone will be able to take a photo next to this unique musical instrument.
