The Day of the Rescuer of the Russian Federation is celebrated on November 27. On this day, many Russian rescuers are in a hurry to congratulate, including the top officials of the state. The main events in honor of the holiday are held in conservatories, concert halls and training and rescue centers.

Step 1
EMERCOM of Russia traces its history back to 1990. It deals with issues of civil protection, fire fighting and the consequences of natural and man-made disasters. On November 26, 1995, President Yeltsin signed a decree establishing the Day of the Rescuer of the Russian Federation in our country. It is celebrated on November 27th. The date for the holiday was not chosen by chance - it was on November 27, 1990 that the first Russian rescue corps was formed.

The celebration of the Day of the Rescuer traditionally begins with the congratulations of the ministry employees by the first people in the country - the President and the Prime Minister. In 2011, in his congratulatory speech addressed to Russian rescuers, Dmitry Medvedev noted the importance of their mission not only in their native country, but also abroad. Vladimir Putin added that Russian rescuers are fulfilling a high mission, giving examples of personal courage and professionalism.
Step 3
When addressing congratulations to his employees, the head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations usually sums up the results of the year and talks about dozens of operations carried out by Russian rescuers in his home country and abroad. Among the countries where EMERCOM employees managed to “check in” are Tunisia, Serbia, Austria, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey, Japan, Italy and many other states.

Celebrating their professional holiday, EMERCOM employees visit boarding schools, schools and other educational institutions, conduct safety lessons and give gifts.

Ceremonial meetings and concerts are also held on this day. So, on November 27, 2013, the Trans-Baikal rescuers gathered at the Regional Philharmonic. The celebration was attended by many honored guests, veterans of the Fire Department. Warm words of gratitude to the rescuers for their hard and selfless work sounded from the stage.

In 2012, the rescuers of the North-West Regional Center of the EMERCOM of Russia celebrated their professional holiday at the Vytegra training and rescue center. They showed the guests a swimming pool for training divers, training classes. Among those invited to the event was the regional governor, who presented the rescuers with a symbolic gift - a diving helmet.
Step 7
Russian rescuers are actively working to educate the young shift. They gather the guys into young firefighters squads, where they prepare for competitions in fire-applied sports. Many of the young firefighters also take part in the celebration of the Day of the Rescuer and congratulate their teachers.
