The costume of any animal looks much more authentic if it consists not only of ears and a tail! A bunny, a bear, a fox and the rest of the paws are essential. Moreover, it is better if there are both front and hind legs. In this case, the actor will feel like a real bunny or the best fox in the world.

It is necessary

  • Fur - about 10 sq. dm
  • Fabric in the color of the fur on the inside of the gloves
  • Heavyweight fabric on the sole
  • Paper, glue, scissors, thread, needles
  • Tape measure
  • Rubber
  • Old film
  • Universal adhesive

Instructions

Step 1

Start with the hind legs. They are cut like ordinary shoe covers. Trace the leg and make two thick soles. Don't forget about seam allowances. Measure along the edge of the sole from the most convex point of the heel to the most convex point of the toe. Draw a line of this length on the paper. This will be the line between the outsole and the side.

Draw a perpendicular from the most convex point of the heel and set the height of the product on it. Through this point, draw a line parallel to the line where the sole and the side join. Measure the circumference of the lower leg at that location. Divide this measurement by two, add 5 cm and seam allowances and set aside the resulting size from the end of the perpendicular. Connect the end point to the most convex point of the toe. It turned out a pattern of half of the side part.

Step 2

Cut out the pattern and circle along the seamy side of the fur, adding 1, 5 cm for the seams and 2 cm for the upper allowance. Make 4 of these parts. Fold the pieces in pairs with the fur to each other. Baste and stitch the front and back seams. Bend the upper allowance to the wrong side and sew the paws. Turn the workpiece inside out and align it with the sole. Gather the top piece together if necessary. Sweep the parts and sew them by hand or on a typewriter.

Thread the elastic into the drawstring and adjust it over your leg.

Step 3

Make the upper legs in the form of mittens.

Trace your hand with folded four fingers on a piece of paper. The thumb should be slightly protruding. Cut out 2 pieces of fur and 2 pieces of fabric. Leave seam allowances and allowances for the top hem. Mark the fingers on the fur details, depending on the number of fingers of the animal and sew with a decorative stitch.

Fold the parts in pairs, right sides to each other, sweep and sew. Make a drawstring along the wrist and insert the elastic.

Step 4

Cut a claw template out of paper. Make claws from the material you have. Attach them to the upper and lower legs with glue or sew on.
