Step 1
In order to make a kikimora costume, you need to sew or remake a ready-made dress in green, brown or gray. The dress can be of any style, but when choosing a model, do not forget that the hem of the dress, however, like the sleeves, must be cut into "noodles". In addition, sew long ribbons on the waist and collar of the dress. The material for the ribbons can be selected in a contrasting color.
Step 2
The next step in making a kikimora costume is sewing a cape-cloak. Kikimora is a swamp spirit, so all shades of green, brown or khaki would be quite appropriate. It is advisable to choose a translucent fabric - this will give the image of the kikimora a touch of fabulousness. Make "seaweed" from threads and strips of fabric and wash them on the cape.
Step 3
From yellow or brown boucle yarn, knit bast shoes. The thicker the thread, the more natural the bast shoes will look. Cut out the soles from pieces of leather or leatherette and sew them to the bast shoes. Weave two long pigtails from the threads and fix them on the backs of the "bast shoes". With the help of these braids, the bast shoes are fixed on the legs.
Step 4
The kikimora's hairstyle is notable for its "creative mess". If the length of your own hair allows, then you can tie several ponytails and comb them strongly. A headband decorated with a small toy frog and a couple of flowers made of fabric or paper will perfectly complement this hairstyle. If your hair is short, then it makes sense to use a wig. Additional accessories for the kikimora costume can be knitted "shaggy" bracelets, as well as a staff.
Step 5
Kikimora's makeup should be selected based on the overall color scheme of the suit. If the dress and cape are green, then green and olive tones should prevail in the makeup. Glitter that imitates water droplets will be appropriate.
