Apart from the morning preparations for the wedding - make-up, hair, manicure, jitters of the bride and groom, then the wedding day begins with the ceremony of the bride's ransom. This custom has been known since time immemorial, and not a single Russian wedding was complete without the trials that the bride's side suited the groom's side.
Instructions
Step 1
The meaning of the ceremony lies in the fact that the girlfriends and the family of the future wife in every possible way demonstrate to the coming groom that they will not give the bride away to no one knows where and who knows who (the witness often plays the most important role in negotiations). The groom, with the help of his friends (in particular, a witness), tries to prove that he is worthy of the bride and will not give up on her under any circumstances. Therefore, when the ransom for the bride (as well as the subsequent theft of the bride) is arranged by both witnesses, this is incorrect.
Step 2
There are many scenarios for buybacks. You can find ready-made options on various Internet resources (for example, on russsia.ru/vyikup-nevestyi/index.html or svadba.net.ru/tamada/vikup.php), although it is always more interesting to come up with an individual option yourself or by contacting a professional toastmaster. The ransom scenarios can also be found in poetic form, they can be thematic, original, comic options.
Step 3
When carrying out the ransom ceremony, the bride's side does not let the groom and his friends go to the bride herself, creating all sorts of obstacles for them. One of the most common challenges for a groom is to answer questions about his future wife, thereby showing how well he got to know her. Questions can be written on cards; each correct answer is an opportunity to go up, for example, one floor up to the bride. So that it does not turn into a boring quiz, there should not be many questions and it is better if they are comic in nature.
Step 4
Other forms of testing the groom are a demonstration of his strength, dexterity, wealth and love for the bride. For example, give the groom a wet towel and offer to tie it as tightly as he will love his future spouse. When the groom shows all his strength (and love), invite him to untie the knot as quickly as he will solve problems in the house.
Step 5
If in some trials the groom and his friends are unable to cope with the tasks or do not quite successfully, they can "appease" the bride's side by offering a ransom. You can use pre-made "wallets of gold" (small coins), toys, candy and chocolates, or any other present that the witness and relatives might respond positively to. From the groom's side, you can also use comic options - for example, offer a "soft cute toy with kind eyes", and present a toy rat.
Step 6
When organizing a ransom ceremony, use natural barriers - stairs, doors. You shouldn't come up with a competition for every step of the groom. The optimal time for a buyout is 15-20 minutes. Rehearse a prepared script in advance to make sure that the number of tasks is not too large, or vice versa, the event does not look crumpled and fast.
