Despite the fact that every year there are fewer veterans and eyewitnesses of the war, Victory Day continues to be an important holiday. Spend May 9 with your family, imbued with the atmosphere of the distant 1945.

Step 1
Congratulate all household members on the Victory Day. Do not forget to call those relatives who participated in the war: for them attention is especially valuable on this day. Familiarize all family members with the plans that you have to implement. Put on your holiday costumes - this will further cheer up each of you.

Go to social events such as rallies, parades, or veteran meetings. This day should be celebrated by paying tribute to the people who fought against the enemies. Let the children give flowers to war veterans. However, you do not need to stay at the event for a long time, otherwise you will get tired and lose the desire to continue the holiday. To diversify your surroundings, stop by for a short time at a cafe or attractions.

Buy souvenirs for children with Victory Day symbols. Little family members should be well aware of what kind of holiday you are celebrating. Therefore, make every effort so that they are imbued with the appropriate atmosphere.

The main characters of this day are, of course, veterans. Try to find an opportunity to communicate with eyewitnesses of war and victory. If you do not have such relatives, find out in advance, perhaps there are veterans among the neighbors. Going to visit the heroes, do not forget to buy at least a symbolic gift.
Step 5
Have a feast at home. But remember that a family holiday should affect each of you, so do not drink a lot if you have children in your home. Otherwise, in the future, they will treat this day without respect for the veterans and heroes of the war.
Step 6
Watch a movie with a military theme. Try to pick something from the classic genre. Leave modern interpretations of those military events for any other day. When choosing a movie, keep in mind that the picture must be understandable for all family members.
