On the eve of New Year and Christmas holidays, the problem of gifts for family and friends invariably arises. I would like to present something extraordinary, original and memorable.
I can give you an idea for such a gift. These are potted houseplants, collected in a beautiful composition and decorated with the appropriate accessories in the New Year's style. Such a present will certainly be highly appreciated and will be remembered for a long time by the recipient.
It is necessary
- - One but spectacular plant (orchid, indoor coniferous plant araucaria, poinsettia ("Christmas star")) or several (2-5) different decorative deciduous and flowering plants.
- - A container where the composition will be placed (a basket, a wicker-bread basket, a wide low planter or a simple cardboard box that you will decorate in New Year's style).
- - New Year's accessories: Christmas balls, tinsel, rain, candles, Christmas tree toys, figurines.
- - Branches of a Christmas tree, pine, fresh fir.
- - Floral sisal (special dyed fibers, used to decorate bouquets and compositions), can be bought in the flower pavilion.
- - Fruits (tangerine, lime, orange, small ruddy apples), sweets.
- - Wooden sticks for fixing candles and fruits.
Instructions
Step 1
Line the bottom and sides of the container with beautiful wrapping paper (preferably not variegated, plain) or a cloth.
Step 2
Water the flowers a day before creating the composition, drain the water from the pallets. Plants should look fresh and firm.
Wrap each pot with cling film to avoid staining the container when watering. Arrange flower pots in containers so that the flowers emphasize each other.
Step 3
Decorate the gaps between the pots with fresh spruce branches, sisal, tinsel. It is advisable to use sisal of the same shade as the flowering plant. Do not get carried away by the abundance of shiny decorations, the main emphasis should be on flowers.
Step 4
Stick wooden sticks into the candles and fruits from below, carefully, stick the sticks into the ground near the walls of the pots (so as not to damage the roots). In this way, you will fix the accessories in the desired position in the composition.
Step 5
Add the finishing touches by stacking a few small Christmas tree balls or candy.
