If the wallpaper is smooth and washable, then it is quite possible to attach the garland to the wall with tape. Only you need to do this carefully and use small pieces of this material for work. It is quite easy to remove adhesive tape from smooth wallpaper, but you can simplify the task by heating the adhesive tape, for example, with a hairdryer.

If the wallpaper has an uneven front surface (and vinyl and non-woven ones are often just like that), then in this case, you can use buttons (or safety pins) to fix the garlands.
After removing these elements, punctures are completely invisible on the wall surface.
Step 4
A good option to decorate the wall with a garland is to hang the decoration on a curtain, and place the curtain itself on the wall. You can attach it with ordinary double-sided tape.
