May holidays for many are associated with the beginning of the barbecue season. But on these 3-4 days off, you can relax in a different way. You can go on an excursion to Russian cities, or you can go abroad.
St. Petersburg
Despite the rainy weather, St. Petersburg is always beautiful. It is in May that navigation on the rivers opens. It will be possible to ride on motor ships and boats. You can also see the opening of bridges.
On Victory Day, a military parade can be seen on Palace Square. Concerts and exhibitions are held throughout the city to coincide with the holiday. In the evening, fireworks are held on the embankment of the Neva River.

It takes only an hour and a half to fly from Moscow to Minsk. Minsk is divided into several districts. The Town Hall is located in the Upper Town. On its ground floor there is a model of Minsk 200 years ago.
An island has been artificially erected not far from the Trinity Suburb, on which there is a memorial dedicated to the Belarusians who died during the war in Afghanistan - "The Island of Courage and Sorrow".
In the Rakovsky suburb there is a church built in 1612 - the Cathedral of St. Peter and Paul.
Lipetsk
"Rusborg" - International festival of military-historical reconstruction of everyday life and battles of 9-11 centuries will take place in Yeletsky district of Lipetsk region in May. The event recreated battles, housing, clothing of that era.
Sochi
In May, the sea in Sochi is still cool, but there are many places where you can enjoy your time:
