Annually on the second Sunday of June in the resort town of Anapa the grand opening of the season takes place. And every year this event turns into a grandiose celebration. Solemn events dedicated to him begin a few days before the opening date and last until June 12 - the Day of Russia.
For the opening of the season, the administration and organization of the All-Russian health resort are preparing in advance, the plan of events is drawn up taking into account all age categories, interests of both Anapchans and guests of the city who come specially on these days.
On the opening day on Teatralnaya, the largest square in Anapa, a grandiose and enchanting theatrical performance takes place. Don't worry that you won't be able to see the participants - it is broadcast on the big screen located on the main stage. A separate broadcast is also on the screen, supplementing the show with video materials dedicated to the history of the resort city and Krasnodar Territory.
Anapa remains the main children's resort in Russia, so a lot of attention is always paid to children during the performance. The heroes of their favorite cartoons and folk tales perform on the stage. The show is complemented by performances given by circus performers.
The hospitable hosts tell the guests of the city about the historical past of ancient Phanagoria, an ancient Greek colony, on the territory of which modern Anapa is located. They are introduced to the sights that can and should be visited while relaxing on the Black Sea coast. The first part of the show ends with a cheerful carnival procession, which is watched with pleasure by both adults and children.
Usually these days the city hosts a variety of art exhibitions and a flower exhibition. The Anapa Museum of Local Lore is preparing thematic expositions dedicated to the history and life of the Cossacks. The stadiums host friendly competitions for volleyball and football teams who came to the holiday from neighboring cities: Gelendzhik, Novorossiysk. Tuapse, Krasnodar and Sochi.
In the evening, guests and owners of the city are always waiting for a big concert, in which both local creative groups and famous artists take part. It ends with a beautiful laser show and fireworks, which you can admire right from the city embankment, sitting in a cozy restaurant.
