A purchased postcard for February 14th is certainly good, but it cannot replace a handmade postcard. Indeed, if you make it yourself, your soul, emotions, feelings and imagination will be invested in it. And what could be better than the embedded emotions during the making of a gift on such a day for all lovers. Having templates will help make your Valentine's Day card fast and hassle-free.
It is necessary
- - colored cardboard (preferably in pastel shades);
- - a sheet of A4 paper;
- - scissors;
- - glue;
- - pencil and eraser;
- - ruler;
- - rhinestones;
- - colored thin ribbons.
Instructions
Step 1
From the available shades of cardboard, choose 2 that will become the basis. The colors should either be contrasting, or the brightness of the shade of one of them should be greater. Also take 1 sheet of white cardboard. We need it to create the symbol of Valentine's Day - the heart.
Step 2
We start by creating a base. To do this, make a copy of the template presented here on a blank sheet of paper. And then cut our base along it. Mark the places where the folds should be on the cardboard around the edges with a pencil. After the base is cut out, fold the cardboard along the lines indicated on the template in black.
Step 3
Cut the second sheet of cardboard according to the second template. It is worth noting that each edge should be half a centimeter smaller than the previous cut. The center of the second workpiece will be horizontally equal to the previous template. Bend the second piece as indicated on the template. This will be the top layer of your Valentine's Day card.
Step 4
Glue together 2 blanks so that the folds converge. Make sure that the glue does not come out on the visible areas of our future postcard.
Step 5
While the base dries, let's start the execution of the heart. To do this, take white cardboard and cut a small heart out of it. Spread glue on one side of our heart and start glueing the rhinestones. It is necessary to glue sequins starting from the lowest one, gradually pasting horizontally each higher row. Then the heart will be even and clear. Leave the rhinestones to dry.
Step 6
Let's go back to the base. Now we will glue the ribbons prepared in advance to it. Ribbons will not only decorate the postcard, but also tie. Thus, they will hide your love message from prying eyes. First you need to measure the desired size of the ribbons. Our unfolded card has a length of 25 cm, which means that the ribbons must be at least 30 cm. We glue them horizontally along the entire length of the card so that the same length of free ribbons remains at both ends. We put our foundation under the press.
Step 7
When all the details are dry, we begin to glue our rhinestone heart. To make it look nice, we fix it over the ribbons at the longer side. Let the heart protrude slightly over the edge. Then the postcard will look more voluminous and more interesting.
Step 8
Now it remains only to show imagination and describe your feelings and wishes to your beloved. Valentine's Day card is ready.
