It is fashionable to smoke hookah today. It is offered in cafes and bars, clubs. But you can do this entertainment at home if you, for example, brought a hookah from an overseas trip to the southern seas or bought it at home. In order not to spoil the pleasure of the process, you need to be able to light a hookah correctly.

Step 1
Assemble the hookah and make sure all parts are sealed against each other. Remove the cup and very tightly plug the top hole with your hand. Then try to draw in air through your mouth. If it doesn't work, everything is in order - the hookah is airtight.
Step 2
Place the prepared tobacco in the cup so that at least 5 mm is left to the edge. This will keep the tobacco from burning from the charcoal. It should not be stacked very tightly, the leaves should be unfolded, you can pierce them several times with a knitting needle through the bottom hole of the cup for better ventilation.
Step 3
Place a special mesh or a regular piece of foil under the charcoal. Cover the cup with foil too - tightly. Then poke a few small holes with an awl or toothpick.
Step 4
Pour cold water into the flask so that the shaft tube is 3-4 cm in the liquid. If more water is poured, it will be difficult to inhale, if less, the filtration will deteriorate.
Step 5
Light the charcoal with a lighter. If you have it natural, then it should turn red on all sides; if it is special, self-igniting, then it must acquire the same color. Then place the charcoal in the middle of the mesh or foil and cover with a hookah cap. When the tobacco is warm enough, move the charcoal to the edges of the cup. Now you can start lighting the hookah.
