New Year's Eve is not only a magical mood and cheerful fuss, but also painstaking work. In December, we decorate classrooms, classrooms at the institute, offices at work, and, of course, at home. And every time I want to add novelty to the festive surroundings, however, not a single New Year's decoration is complete without snowflakes.

Round, acute-angled and openwork - they are the main decoration of the windows. Making them with your own hands is not difficult, in addition, it is very exciting and interesting.

To cut beautiful paper snowflakes, you will need:

  • white or colored paper (thin is better);
  • scissors;
  • compass or circle pattern (any diameter you want);
  • a simple pencil for applying a complex drawing.

Step by step action:

1. Paper blanks for snowflakes can be different. To make a round base, you need to draw a circle of any size on a piece of paper, and then cut it out. If the workpieces are square, then they must be equilateral. It is convenient to use colored stickers for this purpose, but the snowflakes from them are small.

2. Fold the circles in half, then fold over the semicircle and do the same with a quarter of a circle.

3. Square blanks are bent diagonally, exactly in the middle, and then fold the resulting triangle twice. If snowflakes are cut out of colored paper, then the base is folded with the colored side inward.

4. Cut patterns on the workpiece along the edges. The more there are, the more beautiful the snowflake will turn out. If you haven't cut snowflakes before, then you can outline the drawing with a pencil and then cut it out with scissors with sharp blades.

5. If paper decorations will be strung on a thread, then it is better not to cut the sharp tip of the workpiece.

6. Snowflakes are straightened, smoothed and pinned onto curtains or glued onto windows. They are molded onto glass with the help of wet soap - they are drawn over the piece with the "seamy" side of the snowflake, and applied to a smooth surface, gently smoothing it.

Snowflakes glued in this way will stick to the window for as long as required. And they can be removed easily - just moisten the decoration with water. Soap traces from the glass are removed instantly with a damp cloth.
