Many legends in the folklore of the Slavic people are associated with the fern, or rather, with its flower. If you believe popular beliefs, a person who has taken possession of a fern flower will learn to understand the language of animals and birds, will be able to predict the future and will easily find hidden treasures. But finding this flower is not so easy, just like picking it.
Instructions
Step 1
It is very, very difficult to find a fern flower, because it blooms only once a year - on the night of Ivan Kupala's holiday. And this magical flower opens up for just one moment. To take possession of it, one should go at night (before midnight) to the very wilderness of the forest, where you cannot hear the crowing of roosters at dawn. Find a fern, sit down and draw a circle on the ground near you. Light a candle that was consecrated on Easter or Meeting, and pick up wormwood (or another plant that evil spirits are afraid of), read the Gospel or the Psalter.
Step 2
Exactly at twelve o'clock in the morning, when the fern flower blooms, a strong thunderstorm will begin and spirits in the form of animals or snakes will rage around it. They will rush to the flower, then a huge toad will appear near the circle drawn on the ground, which will throw lit straw at the person. It will seem that trees are falling on you, the animals will start to scare you with inhuman screams and screams, squeals and laughter, monsters will begin to appear.
Step 3
Before picking the fern flower, walk around it three times while backing away. Read the prayer "Our Father" and after that pick the flower, quickly run home and do not look back. To preserve the flower, put it in your bosom, hat or boot. On the way back, witches and devils will pursue a person, if he responds or turns around, the flower will disappear without a trace. The dead will block the path and stretch their bony hands, and the devils, who have turned into merchants or gentlemen, will offer untold treasures for the thing in which a magic flower is currently hidden.
Step 4
In fact, this is just a scary but beautiful legend. After all, it has been scientifically proven that the fern does not bloom at all, but reproduces with the help of spores. Therefore, before you go in search of a magic flower, think about whether you should do it or not.
