A live tree has one significant advantage over an artificial one - it exudes a magical spruce scent. True, if you do not provide the spruce with proper care, the tree will quickly become unsightly (needles will crumble) and stop emitting a coniferous smell.

With proper care, even after three weeks in the apartment, the tree can look like it has just been felled. But care should include not only watering, but also other factors that can slow down the wilting of the tree. The fact is that the spruce does not crumble for a long time and exudes a pleasant coniferous aroma, it is necessary to slow down the drying of the green beauty.

How to do it? To maintain in the room where the tree stands, the temperature is not higher than 18 degrees, and the air humidity is 75% or more, and also to water the spruce in a timely manner.

Airing the room and installing a humidifier solves the first two problems, but as for watering, there are some tricks, using which, you can slightly increase the "life" of the tree. In general, if you water a tree with plain water, then after one and a half to two weeks the tree stops absorbing liquid and dries quickly. But if you use a special liquid for watering (a composition made by yourself or bought in a store), then you can increase the period of water absorption by the spruce.

So, so that the spruce does not dry out for a long time, and its needles do not crumble, it is necessary to place the lower part of the trunk in a tank (or any other container) with water and water the tree daily.

It is better to use the following compositions as watering:

  • a teaspoon of citric acid, a tablespoon of gelatin and 50 grams of chalk per 10 liters of water;
  • five to seven aspirin tablets, 1/2 tablespoon of salt and three to four tablespoons of sugar in five liters of water;
  • five tablespoons of vinegar to five liters of water.

If you pour fresh solutions daily into the container in which the spruce stands, then even after three weeks the green beauty will remain fresh, and its needles will be needle to needle.
