Most of all beer is consumed in Austria, Germany, Czech Republic; in these countries, up to 150 liters per person per year are consumed.
Brewer's Day was established by the decision of the Council of the Union of Russian Brewers. The main purpose of the event is to increase the prestige of domestic brands and increase the culture of consumption of the hop drink they produce. To date, the country has registered more than one and a half thousand beer trade marks belonging to more than three hundred brewing companies. The industry employs over sixty thousand people.
On the professional holiday of brewers, the most distinguished workers are honored at the enterprises of the industry. Numerous contests, concerts, festivals, competitions are held throughout the country - of course, beer is always present in all these events. One of the most popular contests is tasting. During it, the tasters do not know which brand they are evaluating, which allows them to make unbiased decisions. Based on the results of the competition, its winners are determined, awarded with valuable prizes.
For beer lovers, within the framework of the holiday in 2012, an all-Russian campaign "Open Breweries" was held. The country's breweries, from Kaliningrad to Vladivostok, conducted excursions for lovers of this drink. Only adults were invited; prior registration was required to participate in the tour. The company's specialists introduced the technology of beer production to visitors, told about the secrets of making an amber drink.
