Unfortunately, the population is periodically faced with such a phenomenon as power outages. Sometimes the electricity goes out for a few minutes, and sometimes you can be left without electricity for the whole day.
Modern people are very attached to such a scientific discovery as an electrician. It provides them with assistance in both work and play. Nowadays, being left without a TV, refrigerator, telephone, computer, microwave oven and other electrical appliances for some time can be a very difficult ordeal for many. You will say that, for example, your phone, tablet and laptop have a battery. But its charge is not eternal, sooner or later it will be discharged anyway.
If the light was turned off during the day
During the day, the very fact of a power outage is much less problematic, since lighting can significantly expand the spectrum of employment. For starters, you can start preparing lunch or dinner for your husband (unless of course you have an electric stove). There are many dishes that are easy to prepare without using any electrical appliances. Then you can move on to cleaning. I think you can find at least some corner in your house that would not hurt to clean up once again.
If it's finished with cleaning, then get down to knitting or any other type of needlework - the time has come when neither the Internet, nor the phone, nor the TV will distract you from creating some kind of masterpiece with your own hands. By the way, a masterpiece can be created not only with the help of knitting needles. A needle (you can embroider, or you can sew a soft toy), a hook, and beads, and salted dough will also become assistants in this matter.
If your soul does not lie for needlework, you can just read a book or go for a walk along the street.
Another good way to have fun is your child (if you have one). With him, there won't even be a question of what to do. It can be a lot of options for role-playing games, throwing sun bunnies, playing with pets and toys, drawing, cutting, gluing different applications and walking outside.
If the light was turned off in the evening
First, it should be said that many prudent housewives always have a certain number of ordinary candles in the house. They are bought in order to create at least some kind of lighting during the period when the lights are turned off. The atmosphere is very specific - semi-darkness, silence and candles. You can't imagine better for doing fortune-telling. Alternatively, you can take advantage of the situation for romantic purposes and have a candlelit dinner.
It is unlikely that on an ordinary evening you will gather at a romantic table with your whole family, but the lack of electricity in the house can definitely bring you together.
If your home has battery-powered lamps and lanterns in addition to candles, you can even play any board games such as checkers, chess, backgammon, bingo or card games.
A good entertainment, both for a small number of people and for a large company, will be telling alternately scary stories (like in childhood) or some kind of word games, for example, playing in the city.
