On the eve of the holidays, be it New Years, Valentine's Day or a birthday, you dream of the best gifts for your family and friends. Choose a present carefully, comparing the advantages of different options, pack it in shiny paper or a beautiful bag, tie a bow. For complete perfection, only one thing is missing, namely, a greeting card. The assortment of postcards offered in the store is huge, for every taste and color. However, donating a handmade card is much more pleasant for both you and the recipient.
Necessary
- - different types of cardboard;
- - glue for stationery and for decoration, colored with glitter and transparent;
- - volumetric paints for decoration, confetti, paper decorations;
- - metallized self-adhesive film, double-sided adhesive tape;
- - loose sequins, paper ribbons, inlay, braid, beads;
- - tree leaves, dried flowers or leaves;
- - gel pens, pencil and eraser, ruler and scissors, stationery knife.
Instructions
Step 1
One way to create a handmade postcard is to decorate a simple picture, photograph, or image. That is, creating an applique using an existing template. For example, print a picture on a matte sheet and glue it onto a sheet of thick cardboard.
Step 2
Bring your drawing to life with materials at hand. Glue dried flowers and leaves onto the sheet with glue. If a regular stationery does not do its job (when the parts are heavy), use rubber glue and a gun. Chamomiles, garden roses, pansies or violets look great against the beige background of the card. Decorate with yellow and red maple and rowan leaves. You can add small acorns and cones as desired and depending on the theme of the holiday.
Step 3
To make the image look three-dimensional, use special paints for decoration. Trace the lace lines, words of congratulation, or the frame with tube paint. Heat the picture with a hair dryer at a distance of 15-20 cm. The lines will bulge and take shape. Cut out rectangular pieces of different shapes from antique paper, the edges can be left torn or rounded. Make holes with a hole punch, put a thin rope or edging in them, fix the ends and glue them on the card. Spread the glue drop by drop so that the decorative paper does not completely adhere to the card.
Step 4
In the center, write the recipient's name, congratulations, or the number of a significant date beautifully.
Step 5
To make a New Year's card, take half an A4 sheet of glossy cardboard. A frame for such a card is made of self-adhesive marbled paper of the appropriate tone.
Step 6
Apply clear glue to the surface of the sheet and sprinkle decorative sequins in the shape of stars. Let the jewelry dry. Using a simple pencil, carefully mark the shape of the Christmas tree on the sheet. Using glue, secure the decorative bead thread along the marked line.
Step 7
On the back of the finished souvenir, write your congratulations. Instead of beads, you can use shaggy threads for knitting or finishing braid "marabou" size no more than 30-40 mm.
Step 8
The easiest to execute will be the classic black and white card. On a sheet of glossy cardboard folded in half, fasten two thin black and white laces. Tie a bow, at the ends of which you should decorate in the form of hearts. Make them from velvet thick cardboard in several layers so that the back side is also hidden. Between the layers of hearts, fasten the ends of the lace and glue the front and back sides.
Step 9
To make the postcard contrasting, the spread must also be decorated. Cut a smaller rectangle out of black paper and glue it onto the card. Write the recipient's name on it with a silver gel pen.
