Plot
The animated series tells about the adventures of two friends - the boy Alex and the girl Alexis. Wherever curiosity leads this couple! One day, seeing a mysterious open door, they descend into an ominous basement. There a magic crystal awaits them, which sends them on a long journey into the past of the Basque country, but only in the form of … painted men! Children go on wanderings, and they are accompanied by a funny little dachshund. On the way, a genie helps them, who gives advice and explains to them what to do next. So, children see with their own eyes how their ancestors lived, learn to love and protect their native land.
"The Holy Grail" (1 episode)
The guys on the way meet a formidable crusader. Alex, as an adult, engages in battle with him, and Alexis helps him. But the defeated formidable enemy turns out to be … the young knight Lancelot. Having made friends with him, the children set off on their way past the walls of the ancient monastery. The cowardly and greedy monks do not behave hospitably, but nevertheless the guys manage to penetrate the monastery walls and find out that the ancient magical Grail is kept in the dungeon. The monks cunningly lure the guys into the basement and lock the door. Once in the dungeon of the monastery, Alex, Alexis and Lancelot will find an underground passage and meet a dwarf wizard who guards church treasures. But the most valuable find will be the Chalice itself! The old knight helps them to get free. For bravery and resourcefulness, he knights Alex, Alexis and their new friend Lancelot.

"Salvation" (episode 2)
Alexis has a prophetic dream that cruel monks will execute the king and queen by throwing them from the fortress wall into a moat with crocodiles. The guys are in a hurry to the medieval city, and there an attempt on the life of the monarchs is really being prepared. Resourceful Alex, rising in a balloon, attacks the villains! The monks are severely punished - they themselves fall into the water, where they die in the crocodile's mouth!
"Wandering circus" (episode 3)
Alex and Alexis watch the show of traveling circus performers. An old man suddenly appears with a sack and tries to steal Alexis, but instead the acrobat girl Mina gets into the sack. It turns out that these are the machinations of evil monks! With the help of new circus friends, the guys free little Mina.
The cartoon was published in Basque and dubbed in English.
"Holy Inquisition" (episode 4)
The cruel monks sentenced the lord to death for witchcraft. They tie her up, put a stone around her neck and throw her into the sea. Our brave Alex is in a hurry to help her! Risking his life, he frees the woman and rises to the surface with her.
