When it comes time to prepare for New Year's Eve, it is difficult to avoid the hustle and bustle and chaos. After all, I would like the meeting of the New Year to be perfect. Fortunately, success does not depend on the amount of effort and nerves you put in, but on smart planning.
Instructions
Step 1
A month before the New Year
If you are planning to celebrate the New Year in a restaurant or outside the city, then start preparing for these events a month and a half before the holiday. Decide on the New Year's offers of restaurants and sanatoriums (tourist centers), choose the best of them and place an order.
Step 2
Two weeks before New Year's Eve
Start looking for gifts. Plan in advance what you are going to give and to whom, and go shopping. Moreover, on the eve of the celebration, sales begin in many stores. The laziest (and most practical) can order gifts via the Internet, but this will have to be done three weeks, or even a month before the New Year. For obvious reasons.
Step 3
A week before the holiday
Go through the decorations for the Christmas tree and home left from last year, add the missing ones to the shopping list. If you are going to celebrate the New Year at home, then also add to the same list alcoholic and non-perishable foods (canned food and preserves, frozen, eggs, etc.), from which masterpieces for a festive meal will be created.
Go shopping. It is better to choose a weekday for this purpose, since on the pre-holiday weekends in supermarkets and in markets full house is a common thing.
Step 4
2-3 days before the holiday
Buy a live spruce or "brush the feathers" of last year's fake tree. Some decorate the tree on December 31, but it is better to decorate it and the home in advance. On the day before the holiday, there is already too much trouble.
Step 5
2 days before the holiday
Buy food for the New Year's table: meat, fruits, and the like. Remove from the freezer and put on the refrigerator shelf everything that needs preliminary defrosting before cooking.
Step 6
December 30th
In the midst of your pre-holiday chores, find a few hours for yourself. Make a face mask, hand mask, foot bath. Take a bath with aromatic oils, go for a massage.
Step 7
Dec. 31
Get a good night's sleep. There are long days ahead, which you will have to be at your best.
Set the table. Textiles, tableware and decorations should be in harmony with each other. Decorate the table with candles and compositions of fir paws, Christmas tree decorations, fruits and nuts.
Step 8
6 hours before New Year
Prepare New Year's salads, lay out snacks beautifully on plates (before the feast, all this must be covered with foil or cling film). Put the hot stuff in the oven a couple of hours before the chimes.
Step 9
3 hours before the holiday
Dedicate the last hours before the holiday to yourself. Tidy up your hair, nails, put on makeup, put on the outfit prepared for New Year's Eve. And when you're done, the first guests will appear on the doorstep.
