The first Victory Parade on Red Square took place on June 24, 1945, when the USSR celebrated the defeat of the army of the German fascist invaders. Now this event is annually celebrated on May 9, and the center of the action is the same Red Square in Moscow.
In honor of Victory Day, celebrated in 2012, large events are planned. Festivities will be organized in the Sokolniki Park of Culture and Leisure, the A. M. Gorky Central Recreation Park, on Poklonnaya Gora, in Izmailovsky Park, on Teatralnaya Square, in Fili, on Tverskaya. In other cities - up to one thousand people and 25-30 pieces of equipment. In all cities, solemn parades will begin at 10 o'clock local time. In the capital, the event will take about 45 minutes. At 20 o'clock in each city, taking part in the celebration, fireworks from thirty volleys will take place. The 2012 Victory Parade will end with the famous march "Farewell of a Slav," which in a year will be 100 years old. The training of servicemen for the Parade on Red Square will begin on March 21 on the territory of the Moscow Region training ground in Alabino. Directly on Red Square, it is planned to hold 3 night trainings and one general day rehearsal. The Victory Parade will be broadcasted from Moscow's Red Square live on federal television and radio channels.
