Anyone can take part in the historical festival, but this requires serious preliminary preparation.

The first step is to choose the era and country that you would like to remodel. The range here is quite wide: from the early history of the ancient Russian and European states to the period of the First and Second World Wars. An essential circumstance that may influence your choice is the presence of historical clubs in your city. If there are such clubs, choose the one that suits your taste. As a rule, historical reenactment clubs have a wealth of experience in participating in tournaments and festivals, which will greatly facilitate your task.
Step 2
Once you have chosen the period and state that you will reconstruct, you can start the main thing - making a costume, shoes and various accessories that are necessary for participating in the event. Large and reputable historical festivals of the all-Russian and international level impose rather strict requirements on the appearance of the participants. All clothing and household items must be completely authentic, that is, correspond to the declared historical period. The costume and shoes are made from historical materials (for example, linen and leather) based on preserved written and material sources (miniatures, archaeological finds). Reliable historical literature and Internet data will come to your aid. No less stringent requirements will be imposed on weapons and armor if you decide to take part in hostilities.

A prerequisite for participation in the festival is an application submitted to the organizing committee. It is quite simple to apply, you just need to find the website of the festival you are interested in and register on it. There you can also get acquainted with the program of the upcoming event, which usually includes buhurts (mass battles), fairs, fashion shows of historical costumes, concerts of folk groups, fire shows and much more.
