Who Said Witches Are Wicked? They, of course, are different, but fabulous witches are still more often mischievous. And they don't always wear rags. And their hats - the subject depends on many other fairy-tale characters.
It is necessary
- Steel wire with a diameter of 2 mm
- Close-fitting fabric
- Crown ribbon
- Starch
- Soldering iron and solder
- Nippers
Instructions
Step 1
Determine the length of the wire. The small circle that will be needed to fasten the brim and crown is simply determined: this is the girth of the head.
Cut a piece of wire to the appropriate length.
But you still have to draw a small circle on a sheet of paper, and for this you need to remember two two formulas from school geometry - determining the radius of a circle and its length. First calculate the radius of the small circle and draw a circle on the paper. Add margin width to the radius and draw a large circle. Calculate the length of the larger circle and cut the appropriate piece of wire.
A paper pattern is needed in order to make a close-fitting from fabric.
Step 2
Determine the height of the crown and calculate the taper. To do this, set aside the height of the crown from the corner of the Whatman sheet and draw an arc. Attach to the resulting arc a piece of wire from which you are going to make a small circle. If the arc on the Whatman paper is slightly larger, mark the desired length of the arc with a dot, draw a straight line through it to the corner and cut out the pattern.
Now you can solder both circles.
Step 3
Transfer the pattern to the fabric by making allowances. Do not forget that two parts are needed for the fields, and one will be enough for the crown. Sew the part for the crown along the cuts. Fold in the bottom edge, tuck a small wire circle into the hem, and then carefully hem the inside of the crown. Starch with the crown, except for the tip that should hang down.
Step 4
Fold the margins together with the right side inward and sew along the outer circle. Turn out the resulting part and iron it. Place a large circle. Turn the folds on the cut of the smaller circle so that they enter the crown. Sew on them, gripping the hem of the crown and hem with a needle. You can pre-coat the hem of the crown with paste.
