Recently, during the New Year holidays, Santa's caps have become popular. He rides reindeer and brings gifts to all obedient children, which he puts under the tree, entering the house through a pipe. Santa Claus is dressed in a fur coat and boots, and on his head is a beautiful cap with a sharp tip, on which a fluffy pompom dangles.

Instructions

Step 1

You can also become Santa Claus for a short while if you make yourself such a hat. Select the material for the cap and its color. The cap can be red or green, and a white cap can be made for the granddaughter of Santa Claus. The material for the cap can be shiny satin or soft fleece; the cap can also be made of warm wool.

Step 2

Make a hat pattern. Take a sheet of Whatman paper or newspaper if you do not have a large sheet of Whatman paper. Determine the center of the sheet and mark it with a felt-tip pen. This is the top of your cap. Take a piece of string, the length corresponding to the height of the cap, tie a pencil to one end of it. Hold the other end of the string with your finger on the marked top of the cap.

Step 3

Stretch the string and draw a semicircle with your other hand with a pencil. Mark a sector on the resulting semicircle, the circumference of which will be equal to the circumference of your head. Cut the resulting pattern out of paper.

Cut out your cap from the selected material according to the pattern made, allowances for seams on both sides by 1 cm, from below 3-4 cm.

Step 4

Sew the cap along the side seam from the inside out. Smooth the seam with an iron. Use a strip of white material to finish the hood. It can be the same fleece or a piece of white faux fur. The length of the strip is equal to the circumference of your head plus 1 cm seam allowances on both sides. The width of the strip should be equal to two widths of the cap lapel plus a seam allowance of 3-4 cm. The width of the lapel depends on your desire.

Step 5

Sew the lapel along the side short seam from the wrong side, smooth the seam with an iron. Fold the hood with the flap strip right sides together and stitch along the bottom edge. Make sure that the side seams of the cap and the flap are aligned. Press the seam with an iron on the side of the hood.

Step 6

Unscrew the lapel down and tuck it inside the cap. Sew the bottom of the lapel to the sewn seam in a blindfold manner.

Step 7

Decorate the finished cap with a pom-pom made of white material left over from cutting out the lapel, and with shiny snowflakes appliques, beaded embroidery.
