At the beginning of this autumn, the Russian government announced how we were resting in 2018 on holidays. The approved calendar for the whole year is already ready, and the residents of Russia now have the opportunity to use the submitted data and plan their work and leisure.
How we will rest in 2018 from January to March
Traditionally, the coming year will begin with the New Year holidays. It is worth recalling that the last Friday of 2017 is a shortened working day, and on the 30th-31st, citizens will be able to perfectly prepare for their favorite holiday. Interesting fact: December 31 from next year is officially a day off, and in the future, the New Year holidays will become even longer. The official holidays at the beginning of 2018 will last from January 1 to January 8. Considering that January 6 and 7 will fall on weekends, the government decided to add additional weekends to the March and May holidays.
Further holidays in 2018 are scheduled for February. The 23rd, that is, the Defender of the Fatherland Day, falls on Friday, which is quite convenient, so citizens expect three consecutive weekends - from the 23rd to the 25th. It should not be forgotten that February 22 is a shortened working day. Holidays in March are no less convenient. Thanks to the postponed holiday from January 6 to March 9, the weekend will be March 8-11, which will ultimately make this working week one of the shortest.
How we will rest in 2018 in May and June
After an unremarkable industrial April, Russians will be able to have a great rest during their long May holidays. Due to the not very convenient location of the dates, it was decided to make Saturday, April 28, an additional working day. From April 29 to May 2, inclusive, citizens will quietly rest for 4 days in a row (an additional day, May 2, was added due to the postponement of the holiday on January 7). May 9 is Wednesday, so it will be the only public holiday for the following week.
The holiday schedule in June is similar to the May one. Since the 12th day, the Day of Russia, falls on Tuesday, it was again decided to make Saturday, the 9th, a shortened working day. This made it possible to set the weekend on June 10-12.
How we will rest in 2018 in November
The December holiday schedule is pretty convenient and straightforward. The Holiday of National Unity, the fourth of November, falls on Sunday, and an additional day off is set for the following Monday. Thus, the days off will be from 3 to 5 November. Do not forget about the shortened working day on November 2.
So, now the picture of how we rest in 2018 on holidays is clear: the approved calendar contains 14 holidays. Their location is quite convenient and will not disrupt the production schedule at most enterprises. The increase in New Year's holidays in 2019 also warms the soul, until which there will be very little left.
