Easter is a good occasion to please your loved ones with interesting gifts. Even traditional Easter eggs and Easter cakes can be decorated in different ways. In addition to them, baskets, Easter trees, figurines of chickens and other souvenirs are presented for Easter. You can make an original craft from almost any available materials.

Easter eggs, they are dyes

Nowadays, ordinary eggs painted with food dyes are most often presented for Easter. However, an Easter egg can also be a souvenir, and sometimes it becomes a real work of art. Suffice it to recall the famous Faberge Easter decorations or wooden Easter eggs by folk craftsmen. You can make an interesting Easter egg yourself. To do this, you will need:

- a raw egg;

- a needle;

- a bowl;

- Knitting;

- a hook on the thickness of the thread.

Gently pierce the raw egg with a needle at both ends. Drain the contents carefully into a bowl. White and yolk can be used to make dough; you won't need them for a souvenir. Place the egg in a safe place and let it dry while you tie it around. Start knitting from the sharp end. Tie a chain of 5-6 stitches and close it into a ring. Make 2 loops on the rise, then knit in a circle, adding loops evenly. Do not forget to try your creation on the egg - it should fit freely into the "case". Any openwork knitting is suitable, including a sirloin mesh. It is performed according to the scheme: 1 double crochet in the previous row, 1 air loop (skip the column). Having tied to the widest point, start lowering the loops. This is also done evenly around the circle. Decrease loops until 7-10 remain. Insert the egg, tie the loops together, break the thread, secure it and hide the tip between the posts. You can decorate such a knitted egg with knitted flowers, beads, beads. If you like embroidery more, you need to do it before you insert the egg.

For such a craft, "iris" or "poppy" of bright shades is most suitable.

Chicken from pom poms

An interesting Easter craft can be made from pompons. You can, for example, make a chicken. To do this, you need:

- cardboard;

- yellow woolen threads;

- scissors;

- a needle.

To make pom-poms, cut out 2 identical rings - a pair of small ones and a pair of large ones. Wind the ball so it goes into the hole. Attach the ends of the thread to the ring by tying it with a loop. Wrap the ring, trying to lay the threads as close to each other as possible. Multiple layers can be made. At the end of the process, cut the future pompom along the outer circumference, pull it in the center with a thread of the same color and secure with a strong knot. Make a second pom-pom. Sew the balls together. The legs and beak can be made of thick red cardboard. They are just triangles of different sizes. Large beads or, again, circles made of cardboard, which must be painted black, are suitable for the eyes.

To make the legs more dense, cut 4 identical triangles and glue them in pairs.

Easter basket

Easter eggs or toys will look better if you put them in a basket. The basket can be made of rods, wire, synthetic and ordinary twine, cardboard and many other materials. An unusual basket can be made from a plastic container. To do this, you will need:

- the actual container;

- leg-split;

- wire;

- a needle with a large eye;

- PVA glue;

- a sharp knife;

- materials for decoration.

You can buy a plastic container at any grocery store - they usually pack salads, cakes and other products. Choose a wide, square container. If the cover is secured, it is best to cut it off. Attach a handle to the future basket. It is simply a piece of wire curved in an arc. PVA glue is needed in a plastic bottle. Thread a needle with a large eye with twine or thick thread without cutting it from the ball. Pierce the bottle of glue on both sides. Pull the string through the bottle and start wrapping it around the container. Better to start from the top. Try to keep the cord flat, layer to layer. Paste the bottom in the same way, laying the twine in a square. Wrap the handle too. Let the basket dry and then decorate it.
