Step 1

The musicians marched along the main street of the city from Chkalov Street to Pushkin Square. About a thousand different musicians, more than twenty Kuban collectives took part in the march-parade of brass bands. Among them: the brass band of the 108th Guards airborne assault regiment of the Guards airborne division of the hero-city of Novorossiysk, the Kuban brass band, the military brass band of the Academy of Communications. The march-parade ended with a concert performance by the brass band of the Krasnodar Territory, led by Honored Artist of Russia Yuri Donchenko.

Step 2

Despite the rainy weather, on a spring evening, many spectators gathered on the streets of the city, watching the procession of the musicians. The region's brass band performed on Pushkin Square. A surprise for connoisseurs of jazz was the concert of Andromeda and Steve Turre from the USA, held at the Musical Theater. This unique creative union of daughter and father, combining classical jazz and modern musical styles, captivated not only Russians. Steve is the only trombonist in the world to use seashells as a musical instrument. Andromeda is well known for her constant musical experimentation.

Step 3

The general atmosphere of the holiday was also supported by the Garanyan Big Band. Honored artists of Russia Andrei and Mikhail Ivanovs, as well as violinist Polina Lapteva, performed on the stage of the musical theater. They presented the audience with the Russian jazz repertoire. The musicians Ivanov brothers conquered Europe in the early nineties with their Russian jazz program. This year they played it with the famous Kuban big band. They performed the famous jazz compositions of Frank Sinatra, Duke Ellington, Ella Fitzgerald.
